RAPID CITY…Firehouse Wine Cellars brought home three awards, two golds and a bronze, from the Texas International Wine Competition.
The 2020 Cabernet Franc and the 2020 Winemaker’s Collection Petit Verdot both brought home golds, while the 2022 Marsanne earned bronze.
These awards recognize the quality of the Firehouse product and the winery’s commitment to putting South Dakota on the map for top quality, locally crafted wines.
“We are all proud of the work we do here with the grapes and wine, and it is always nice to have those efforts recognized by peers in the industry,” said Firehouse Winemaker Adam Martinez.
The Texas International Wine Competition (TXIWC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring attention to Texas as a prominent viticulture and wine-making region while also raising money for charitable causes. TXIWC was founded by Bonnie Villacampa, an international wine judge and co-founder of Baron de Villacampa, a wine brand from the Rioja region in Spain.
